From concept, initial measure, to fabrication, and installation, with an eye on detail and quality workmanship.
Working in collaboration with interior designer, and decorating firms to assist in creating high quality one of a kind window treatments and soft furnishings for your clients.
My experience fabricating custom window treatments began at a young age working in the family workroom. I learned all aspects of the drapery business, as well as many fabricating techniques.
Having over 35+ years knowledge in fabrication and installation allows me to predict many scenarios.
The workroom stocks all necessary supplies, premium linings and interlinings, rods, sheers, pillow forms, fillers, etc. This eliminates shipping time and expedites fabrication.
Equipped with the tools necessary to complete professional custom soft furnishings. Industrial sewing machines, commercial dofix irons, large canvas work tables which are long enough to accommodate large treatments. Two tables have an overal finished length of 20 feet.
As an experienced workroom, I draft patterns to your specific dimensions and specifications. If necessary, mock ups are made and draped on dressing wall to insure that each treatment is crafted to our highest standards.
I will work with your initial measurements for estimates and yardage. I also prefer my own on-site measures. This helps me to envision your design as you conceive it and enables me to visualize important elements of the treatment that might be needed for the final fabrication. Such as placement of fabric repeats, breaks in treatment or window size. A more complicated treatment may require a template and detailed measures.
We try our best to fit into any hectic schedule.
Turn around time is generally 6 to 8 weeks from receiving all necessary supplies in house to finish your project.
I love creating one of a kind designs and making my clients visions a reality. The finished product is the ultimate goal.
